Sausalito police arrested a burglary suspect who drove the wrong way on Highway 101 during a pursuit, police reported.

Police were notified around 3:45 a.m. Thursday about a suspected vehicle burglary on Napa Street, police Lt. Brian Mather said. The suspect led police on a high speed pursuit through residential neighborhoods and onto northbound 101, he said. The driver later made a U-turn and went the wrong way on the freeway. Due to safety issues,the police ended their pursuit, Mather said.

The driver crashed on the freeway near Lucky Drive. Central Marin police later found and arrested the suspect by the marsh, Mather said.

Lance Patrick Barahona, 38, of Oakland was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possessing a firearm as a felon, carrying drug paraphernalia, police evasion, and conspiracy. He was booked into the Marin County Jail, where his bail was set at $50,000.
