NEWARK — A 54-year-old woman was arrested here on suspicion of possessing controlled substances for sale after police raided her residence and nearby storage unit and reportedly found 11 pounds of methamphetamine.
The 54-year-old Newark woman had multiple drug trafficking convictions, and was booked on suspicion of drug and gun possession. The February raids were led by Fremont police, authorities said.
Police say they wound multiple firearms and several pounds of methamphetamine at both locations, as well as roughly $3,000 in cash at the Newark residence. Officers were initially only planning to search her home, but expanded the investigation after finding a pay stub for the storage unit at the residence.
