Winchester Mystery House is adding some spooky springtime events to its calendar with Paranormal Investigation with TAPS West Coast and Halfway to Halloween Flashlight Tours.

“Anticipating the Halfway to Halloween countdown, Winchester Mystery House is set to celebrate with the lights out,” Walter Magnuson, executive director of Winchester Mystery House, said in a statement.

Investigators from TAPS West Coast, who have been featured on the TV shows “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Brothers,” will lead a two-hour hands-on search for evidence of the paranormal in the house, which some claim is haunted by Sarah Winchester’s ghost, on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30.
Guests are encouraged to take this speculation with a grain of salt while they search paranormal hot spots in small groups, armed with personal take-home EMF readers to gather evidence. TAPS West Coast will provide guests with a digital copy of the footage from the investigation.

Entry times are at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on each evening. Tickets are $150 at winchestermysteryhouse.com/paranormal-investigation.

Apropos to the name, the Halfway to Halloween Flashlight Tours are set for April 26-27 and May 3-4, 7 p.m.-midnight. The self-guided tours give guests the opportunity to roam the halls of the mansion—famous for its dizzying floorplan and lack of formal blueprints—with nothing but a flashlight while hearing stories about its former inhabitants. Tour hosts will be stationed throughout the house to ensure guests don’t get lost.

Tour tickets are $29.99-$49.99 at winchestermysteryhouse.com/flashlight-tour.
