ANTIOCH — A man shot to death Tuesday night in a shooting that also critically wounded another man has been identified by authorities.

The shooting happened about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday on Bryan Avenue and killed Roberto Gonzalez-Lamas, 41, of Antioch. According to police, he had been shot several times.

So, too, had another man who was critically wounded. Police said that victim is a 59-year-old who had life-threatening injuries. Antioch police did not respond to multiple requests for updates on the man’s condition. It was not immediately clear if he is also an Antioch resident.

Both men were rushed to a hospital. Gonzalez-Lamas died there.

Police have not said what they think they motivation for the killing was, and they have not announced any arrests.

The homicide is the second one investigated in 2024 by Antioch police. The first one happened 13 days earlier.
