LIVERMORE — A suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a wild house party here, where a man was stabbed repeatedly and suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

A 24-year-old Oakley man was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, both related to the same victim, in connection with the Oct. 21-22 house party. The charges were filed on Nov. 17, after police used cellphone videos and statements from the few witnesses who cooperated with police to identify the man.

The victim suffered a cut spleen and a collapsed lung, and was hospitalized for several days, police said. The party had more than 100 attendees, many of whom were intoxicated, aggressive and generally uncooperative with authorities, police said.

Police were called to the party on the 300 block of Elizabeth Court at around 12:20 a.m. on Oct. 22 for a report of a brawl at the residence. At least one other person was stabbed during the fracas, authorities said.

The suspect has been released from Santa Rita Jail after posting $85,000 bail. A judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and complaining witnesses, court records show.
