SAN JOSE — A standoff with a man who barricaded himself in a home near South 11th and East Reed streets ended with the suspect in police custody Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
San Jose police officers were called to the residence — roughly three blocks east of San Jose State University — around 5:45 a.m. to try to locate a man who had an arrest warrant issued for a parole violation, according to an SJPD spokesperson.
Police said the subject barricaded himself inside once officers tried making contact, but surrendered around 12:30 p.m. and was taken into custody.
More information about the man or the parole violation was not immediately available Saturday.
