DISCOVERY BAY — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday night on State Route 4 near Discovery Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around 11:40 p.m. in westbound lanes of the highway near Newport Drive, the CHP said in a news release.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, according to the CHP.
Additional details about the hit-and-run, including a description of the suspect vehicle, were not available Friday.
