First announced at this year’s SHOT Show, Viridian Weapon Tech will be releasing the RFX45 closed emitter green dot optic in just a couple of weeks. Utilizing the Aimpoint ACRO footprint, the optic is designed for a pistol but has a robust construction suitable for rifles. Additionally, as the name indicates, the RFX45 utilizes a green dot emitter for better visibility by the human eye.
The Viridian RFX45 Closed Emitter Green Dot Optic
Constructed from durable aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum, the RFX45 features a shock-resistant design. As a result, it can withstand recoil from even the most powerful handguns. In addition, the IPX6 waterproof rating and hard coat anodization ensure solid performance in hard environments.
Featuring a closed emitter design, the lens is coated with an anti-reflective coating, providing a clear and bright sight picture. The 5 MOA green dot reticle is highly visible to the human eye in a wide range of lighting conditions. Correspondingly, the reticle has ten brightness settings with eight visible and two night vision settings. For this reason, it provides fast and accurate target acquisition.
With a user-friendly design, the optic allows for easy adjustments to windage and elevation, with an overall adjustment range of 90 MOA. Operating on a single CR2032 battery, the RFX45 provides up to 50,000 hours of battery life. Utilizing an INSTANT-ON function, it also features an automatic shut-off feature, helping to preserve the battery.
The RFX45 features an Aimpoint ACRO-compatible mount, allowing you to mount it to a pistol or rifle platform. Various adapters and mounts are available separately or as part of a kit through Viridian. Likewise, the tools necessary to install the RFX45 are included in the package.
