Authorities in Georgia apprehended a man after he called attention to himself by leaving a comment on a Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

“The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list will be updated as often as criminals are apprehended or new suspects emerge. Check our website for additions to the list and for captured updates,” the sheriff’s office noted when sharing a list of 10 wanted individuals and asking for tips from the public. “If you have seen any of these people please call the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office. We need your help,” the post noted.

Christopher Spaulding, who was not one of the individuals on the most wanted list, left a brief comment on the post: “How about me,” he wrote on Tuesday.

The police took notice, replying on Thursday, “Christopher Spaulding you are correct you have two warrants, we are on the way.”

A Thursday Facebook post features a photo of Spaulding with his hands behind his back and a screenshot of the Facebook exchange.

“We appreciate you for your assistance in your capture! Special thanks to our Fugitive Unit for being active and efficiently apprehending Mr. Spaulding who has 2 warrants for Felony Violation of Probation,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “Our Top 10 is compiled based off of the severity of the charges only. By not being on this list does not mean our Fugitive Unit is not looking for you if you have an active warrant.”
