School Fun Fest

St. Lucy School is hosting a Food and Fun Fest Oct. 21-23, featuring rides and games, food and treats, and live music.

The festival runs Friday, Oct. 21, 4:30-10:30 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 22, 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 23, noon-6 p.m., at the school, 76 Kennedy Ave.

Admission is free. Unlimited ride bracelets and food tickets can be purchased at https://www.stlucyschool.org/funfest.

Howl-oween costume contest

Cloud City Supply is celebrating Howl-oween with an in-person and online pet costume contest.

Pet owners can don costumes Oct. 28, 6-8 p.m., and come by the store at 325 E Campbell Ave. with their furry friends to capture their look in a photo booth and enjoy free adult and pet snacks, as well as seasonally appropriate music from DJ Chip DeVille. Group themed costumes are highly encouraged. Each guest will receive a raffle ticket, with a drawing for prizes after the costume contest winners are announced.

Judging for the pet costume contest will be from 6-7 p.m. with first-, second- and third-place prizes. Pet owners can enter the contest online by posting a photo on Instagram to @cloudcitysupplyinc, texting a pic to 408-777-6783 or emailing a shot to hello@cloudcitysupplyinc.com. Online submissions accepted Oct. 22-27.

Bridge the Gap Gala

Hunger at Home’s ninth annual Bridge the Gap Gala is set for Oct. 22, 5:30 p.m., at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

The event features cuisine prepared by Silicon Valley chefs at 12 tasting stations; artisan wine and craft cocktails; dance music by All Star Jukebox; and live and silent auctions.

Funds raised through the gala support Hunger at Home’s food distribution programs.
