Bridge survey

Cyclists will soon have a safe way to cross Highway 17 in Los Gatos; a project that has long been in the works to build a pedestrian bridge over the highway at Blossom Hill Road is moving forward. But before construction begins, the town wants to know what type of bridge residents want to see. Three bridge types are being proposed: concrete girder, flat steel truss and arched steel truss.

Town officials have launched a survey, which includes renderings of each bridge option, so residents can weigh in. The survey is available at www.SurveyMonkey.com/r/Hwy17BPOC and is open for responses until Oct. 7.
