The garden opens at 1:30 p.m. the day of the show, and the music begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 at www.campbellmuseums.com and include light appetizers, beverages, wine and free tour admission to the Ainsley House.

Nowruz ambassadors wanted

The Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is embarking on a three-year project exploring Nowruz, the Persian New Year celebration of the spring equinox, with the goal of developing a cultural festival and a museum exhibition with individuals and organizations that celebrate Nowruz.

Nowruz ambassadors can participate in a focus group, complete a questionnaire about their Nowruz traditions, introduce museum staff to others in the Persian community, share recipes and favorite children’s music selections, talk with children about their family history and traditions and share photos and historical objects.

The museum is holding a Nowruz planning meeting Sept. 17, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. To register, visit https://www.cdm.org/nowruz
