SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – A man attacked three people with an “edged weapon” Friday night at San Francisco International Airport, police said.

Around 6 p.m., the man drove to the airport, entered a terminal, pulled out an edged weapon and assaulted three other men, the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement.

Officers arrived at the scene and detained the man.

“At this time the identity of the suspect is not being disclosed as well as the pending charges due to the active investigation,” police said.

The victims’ injuries were described as not life-threatening. Police said they were treated and released.

The attack occurred shortly before the Golden State Warriors were due to arrive at the airport. The team was returning from Boston, where they clinched their fourth title in eight seasons.
