A vegetation fire in northern Solano County near Vacaville prompted some evacuation orders in the region Saturday, but those have since been rescinded as firefighters gained ground on the blaze, according to authorities.

The Quail Fire, first reported at 3:14 p.m., and as of 7:15 p.m. had burned at least 135 acres and was 45% contained, according to Cal Fire.

The Solano County Office of Emergency Services issued evacuation orders for all of Quail Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road from Quail Canyon north to Highway 128 and west to the county border. At 8:30 p.m., those orders were downgraded to evacuation warnings, which essentially instruct residents and businesses to be ready to leave if a new order is issued.

Evacuation warnings have been in effect for residents on Pleasants Valley Road from Shale Peak Road north to Highway 128 and west of Pleasants Valley Road to the county line.

There have been no immediate reports of serious injury or property damage.
