If you haven’t had a chance to pay your respects to Oliveto, one of the Bay Area’s pioneering farm-to-table restaurants, and savor a last meal from this stellar kitchen, you have until Saturday, April 23.

The Rockridge district doors will close for good after service that night.

Owners Bob and Maggie Klein had initially announced Dec. 31, 2021, as their final day after 35 years in business, then decided to keep the downstairs cafe and upstairs restaurant open for a while longer for the sake of the neighborhood and until a replacement for this prime Rockridge corner is announced.

Among the highlights on the final menu are Duck Confit, Pan-Roasted Steelhead, Mozzarella Ravioli with Kale and pizzas made on the Kleins’ Community Grains wheat blend dough. The salads and sides showcase asparagus, beets, broccolini, watermelon radishes and more.
