OAKLAND — Two men were shot Saturday morning in the Fruitvale District, authorities said.

Both men, one aged 22 and the other 31, were in stable condition at a hospital. They are both Oakland residents, police said.

Police did not say how the men were acquainted with each other.

The shooting happened at about 1:07 a.m. on the the 1900 block of Fruitvale Avenue.

The 22-year-old man was found at the scene and taken to the hospital, while the 31-year-old man received his own transportation to the hospital before authorities arrived.

Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting or announced any arrests.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest of suspects.
