OAKLAND — A woman was killed early Saturday in a hit-and-run traffic collision in East Oakland, authorities said.

Police will not identify the woman, a 61-year-old Pittsburg resident, until next of kin is notified. She was found at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of the 9900 block of International Boulevard.

Police said the woman was crossing the street outside of the marked crosswalk lines when she was hit by a vehicle, which then left the scene. It is unknown if alcohol, drugs or the vehicle’s speed were factors in the crash.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the driver. Anyone with information can call police traffic investigators at 510-777-8570 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
