Shadow Systems DR920P
Built on the full-size DR920 frame the DR920P provides a full 17+1 capacity, in 9mm. The polymer frame features aggressive texturing for a no-slip grip in adverse conditions. Similarly, the interchangeable backstraps allow each shooter to dial in the perfect fit for the ideal point of aim. Also aiding in enhanced shot placement is the flat-faced trigger and match-grade, spiral-fluted barrel.
The DR920P comes with the Elite model slide, which includes forward and rear cocking serrations. Additionally, a weight-optimizing window cut not only reduces weight but displays the spiral-fluted barrel, adding to the overall aesthetics.
Sitting atop the slide is Shadow Systems’ proprietary multi-footprint optic system. As a result, you can direct-to-slide mount most major brands of red dot optics. The unique mounting system requires no intervening plates or adaptors. As designed, the mounting system has been tested with models from Holosun, Leupold, Shield, SIG, Swampfox, Trijicon, TruGlo, and Vortex.
Where the DR920P sets itself apart is in the integrated compensator. Both the compensator and slide are machined to give a single-piece appearance. However, the design allows for rapid removal and attachment for easy cleaning. Likewise, the compensator aligns automatically without the need for set screws or other friction devices. Ensuring faster shot-to-shot tracking, the front sight sits directly on top of the compensator.
For those that live in jurisdictions with threaded-barrel bans, you will be happy to know that the compensator does not make use of threaded barrels.
