The WE Knife Beacon EDC Flipper
Available in three different colors, black, blue, and grey, the 6AL4V titanium handle/frame is rugged yet lightweight. Correspondingly, the .42-inch thickness of the handle presents little footprint in the pocket. Similarly, the 6AL4V titanium deep carry pocket clip keeps the Beacon out of sight. Likewise, the 3.63-ounce weight doesn’t wear too heavy on the pocket. Although it is set up for right-hand tip-up carry, it is reversible for left-hand tip-up carry. However, tip-down carry is not an option.
Running 3.48-inches long, the CPM 20CV stainless steel blade features a flat grind that meets up with a tapering fuller. Additionally, the chamfered spine gives the blade an elegant look and adds a slight swedge for drag-free use. Also, the chamfering continues back, meeting up with subtle jimping for enhanced grip during use.
Gliding on a caged ceramic ball bearing pivot, the drop point blade is brought to its full 7.91-inch length via a flipper. Like the handle options, the blade similarly comes in three different finishes. The standard model is available in either black stonewash or silver bead blasted. However, for an additional cost, you can purchase the Beacon with Damasteel (Hakkapella) blade.
