SAN MATEO – A 27-year-old man was injured in a shooting Thursday night in San Mateo, police said.
Officers were called just before 10 p.m. to the 1200 block of Monte Diablo Avenue, near North Bayshore Boulevard, for a report of gunshots, according to the San Mateo Police Department. They arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man received first aid from the officers and was taken to an area hospital to be treated.
No suspects have been publicly identified or arrested.
