The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office charged three Pittsburg men late last week with multiple felony counts in connection with more than two dozen armed robberies at businesses this year, authorities said.

According to a statement from Antioch police, investigators from several police departments realized that at least twenty-five robberies from August to November at businesses in Antioch, Bay Point, Brentwood, Concord and Clayton apparently involved similar suspects.

Last Wednesday, after an armed robbery in Concord, police notified other departments about a suspect vehicle found in Bay Point. After two 18-year-olds and a 20-year-old inside the vehicle were arrested, a search yielded robbery-related evidence, police said.

A day later, officers with Pittsburg, Antioch and Concord police served search warrants at several Pittsburg addresses, recovering additional items linked to prior robberies.

Investigators, who also relied on automated license-plate readers and other surveillance tools to gather information, then presented a case to the district attorney’s office, who filed felony charges against the three men Friday.
