Oakland celebrated Halloween and Dia de los Muertos with events throughout the city this weekend.

From the Montclair pet parade and the Halloween Dia De Los Muertos family fun fest at Jack London Square on Saturday, to the Día de Los Muertos Annual Festival along International Boulevard in the Fruitvale neighborhood on Sunday, the city was alive with color.

Ballet Folklorico Mexicano De Carlos Moreno of Oakland performed traditional Mexican dances in Jack London square as costumed spectators joined in the festivities.

Heidi Kistler, owner of the Pawsitively Pampered Pet in Montclair, has been taking her regular dog clients out right before Halloween to do a costumed walk for the last five years.

Costumed participants and low-rider cars were on display as they rumbled down International Boulevard in the Fruitvale District during the festival.
