The popular original HIPERCOMP recoil compensators from HIPERFIRE were hitting the mark, but people wanted a less expensive option. So, they went to work building compensators that were not only cheaper but performed even better than the original.
HIPERFIRE HIPERCOMP Recoil Compensators
Forgoing the expense of trial-and-error practices, HIPERFIRE utilized specialized software to achieve a smaller package at a reduced cost. Using fluent computational fluid dynamics software from ANSYS they dialed in the design with lower developmental costs. As a result, the price reduction for the end user was noticeable.
With their goal of a design that maximized propellant gas effects, they also had to consider form and function. The 5.56 and 9mm comps required the same form factor as the MIL Birdcage flash hider. While, they also had to exceed the recoil reduction of the best comps they could test. As a result, the specialized bores help keep the final size down, while increasing gas propellant for decreased recoil on the shooter.
The resulting products are the HIPERCOMP 556 Next Gen, 9mm Next Gen, 762 Next Gen and 762 Next Gen AK. The 762 and 762 AK are additions to the line and operate on 7.62 NATO AR10 and Russian AK’s, respectively.
