Smell is one of the most powerful senses we have as human beings. We associate scents with memories— whether that be fresh baked cookies, flowers or rain hitting pavement. When we’re growing up, we often develop our favorite scents and a person’s first perfume tells you a lot about them. Personally, I grew up wearing Bath and Bodyworks’ body sprays. Some of my favorite scents back then were classics like Moonlight Path, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Warm Vanilla Sugar, Sweet Pea and Cucumber Melon. As I entered high school, my preferences matured and Victoria’s Secret’s Bombshell became my go-to. Today, as a career woman of my mid-twenties, NEST New York’s Indigo has been my ride or die for several years now. But who knows what I’ll gravitate toward next.
