Police arrested 34-year-old Oakley resident Jennifer Decarlo in May. In a statement, police said they arrested Decarlo after receiving reports in March about the alleged lewd and lascivious acts.
According to court records, Contra Costa County prosecutors have charged Decarlo with five counts of committing a lewd act with a child who is 14 or 15 and with greater than a 10-year age difference.
Authorities said Decarlo is also charged with three counts of committing a lewd act with a child under 14; three counts of unlawful intercourse with a minor under 16; three counts of communicating with a minor for the purpose of committing a lewd act; three counts of arranging to meet a minor for the purpose of committing a lewd act; two counts of oral copulation with a minor under 16; one count of oral copulation of a minor; and one count of sending harmful matter with the intent to seduce a minor.
In a statement, police said detectives interviewed many people and served more than one search warrant during the investigation. Detectives discovered that there was more than one victim and that the alleged crimes happened between January and March of this year, according to police.
Decarlo remained in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on Thursday in lieu of $1.16 million bail.
