A major-injury crash Friday afternoon in Fairfield wounded two motorists and resulted in an hours-long road closure.
The collision occurred just before 4:40 p.m.
Fire officials indicated the incident occurred at Walters Road and Walters Court and extrication was needed.
Police said Walters Road between East Tabor Avenue and Air Base Parkway would be closed for an extended period of time while the Major Accident Investigation Team probes the two-vehicle crash.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. A condition update was unavailable at press time.
