SAN JOSE — A vegetation fire broke out Wednesday evening near CA-237 and 1st Street, authorities said.
The fire, which was reported at 5:50 p.m., brought heavy smoke to the area and impacted traffic on the highway, according to San Jose Fire Department spokesperson Erica Ray.
As of 7:26 p.m., no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
