As with all WidEar products, the MusicEarz headphones are custom fit to your ear. All you have to do is provide impressions of your ears to WildEar and they take care of the rest.
Although that sounds a little daunting, it is actually easier than you would think. Most audiologists will do it for a small fee of between $30 – $75. WildEar will even provide the necessary impression guide for you to take with you. However, if you can’t find an audiologist, WildEar also has a home fit kit for $50.
Constructed of tough acrylic, MusicEarz provides detailed bass, crisp mids, and spacious highs for a detailed listening experience. With wide placement, you get succinct individual instruments and spatial dynamics. Likewise, the MusicEarz platform will give a detailed representation of your personal EQ settings, for a personalized listening experience.
On the range or hunt, the headphones provide a noise reduction rating of 26 dB for ample protection. MusicEarz headphones also feature an IPX7 waterproof rating, so there’s no worry about sweat or using them in the rain. I will admit, $549 for a pair of headphones is a hard pill to swallow, even with noise-canceling technology. As an audiophile, I am not one to shy away from paying for great headphones. But I do hope that these will come down a bit someday. Although, with WildEar you are also paying for a completely custom fit. So, that is an added benefit that most headphones do not have and balances out the high cost.
