A motorcyclist riding in unincorporated San Mateo County died on Sunday morning after hitting a tree, according to California Highway Patrol spokesperson Art Montiel.
The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. The driver, a man in his 60s from Los Altos, was heading west on La Honda Road (Highway 84) about two miles west of Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35). He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The San Mateo Coroner’s Office will be releasing the man’s name once next of kin are notified.
As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday, CHP officers were conducting one-way traffic control in the area where the accident occurred and is expected to last for one hour. Source: www.mercurynews.com
