SAN JOSE — A woman died in a fatal traffic collision Sunday night off Highway 101 and Yerba Buena Road, according to San Jose police.
The collision was reported around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, and an initial investigation found that one woman had “life-threatening injuries,” police said in a tweet. Multiple cars were involved and part of Yerba Buena Road was closed while police investigated the crash.
Later, San Jose police said the woman had died.
This fatal collision marked the city’s 44th traffic death case and 45th victim of the year, authorities said.
