It’s a widely accepted fact that nothing goes better with barbecue than the blues.
Sorry, beer.
Fortunately, fans can once again pair the ribs and riffs when the West Coast Blues All Stars return to Everett and Jones BBQ at Jack London Square in Oakland.
After more than two years, the band — which is led by mighty guitarist and the West Coast Blues Society founder Ronnie Stewart — is finally returning to its regular Saturday night gig at the legendary barbecue spot.
The group held that the regular Saturday slot for some six years, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit and basically brought the live music world to a standstill.
But there are two things you just can’t keep down. The first, of course, is the blues. And the second is Ronnie Stewart, who remains one of the world’s most passionate (and hardest working) supporters of the great American art form.
So come on out and welcome back the West Coast Blues All Stars to Everett and Jones.
The group is performing from 8 to 11:30 p.m. on April 2, kicking off it’s first-Saturday-of-the-month performance schedule at the barbecue restaurant.
And did we mention that admission is free?
