Wellness center opening

The Campbell Chamber of Commerce is hosting a March 18 ribbon cutting for Family Tree Wellness, 46 N. Second St., at 5:30 p.m. Family Tree provides counseling and a community center for maternal mental health.

The free event features refreshments, tours of the facility, and goodie bags with treats and information about the center to take home.

Permanent parklets?

Downtown Campbell’s temporary parklet program has been extended through October and is expected to be replaced by a permanent parklet program for restaurants and storefronts that want to make use of it.

The specifics of the permanent program are not yet known, but a proposal for a permanent program is set to be presented to the Campbell City Council in the coming months.

Second Harvest fundraiser

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is seeking to raise $1 million by April 13. If the food bank achieves this goal, the Khosla Family Foundation will match the amount.

Second Harvest is still serving 60% more people than it was pre-pandemic, foresees that an elevated need will continue well into the future.  The food bank serves about 400,000 people on average every month.

Vote center couriers needed

The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters is looking for volunteer vote center couriers to pick up ballots bags from the county’s vote centers May-28-June 7.

Volunteer couriers are required to take the appropriate courier training before their start date.  The 45-minute training sessions are held in person and online.
