The Phoenix Suns are signing top international guard Gabriel Lundberg on a two-way contract, sources told ESPN.
Lundberg, who became available after leaving CSKA Moscow amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, agreed to a deal for the rest of the season, sources said.
Lundberg, 27, will become the first Danish basketball player to join an NBA team. He had averaged 9.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the EuroLeague team this season.
The Suns, who hold the NBA’s best record at 53-14, had a single roster spot available.
