Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum‘s right lung is fully healed and he will be re-evaluated next week, the team said Thursday.
McCollum was diagnosed with a collapsed lung earlier this month after suffering a rib injury in a Dec. 4 loss to the Boston Celtics.
A CT scan on Wednesday revealed the lung to be healed and McCollum has been cleared for noncontact drills, increased conditioning and shooting.
McCollum is averaging 20.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists for a Blazers team that has struggled with injuries this season.
