I was working on restoring my ’69 Chevelle over the summer and wishing I had a car to drive in the nice weather. l went on Facebook to try and sell an extra 454 engine I had, and an ad popped up that was only 10 hours old for an all-original 1969 Chevrolet Corvette with the 350/350hp engine and an automatic transmission. It had the nice, original paint and interior.

I was first in line with the money, so I got it. The owners were moving to Florida and had driven it less than 3,000 miles in the 13 years they had owned it, and they had always kept it in the garage. They were the second owners and first saw it on the show “The Price is Right” in California. It has 43,000 original miles.

Since it is 55 years old, I had to replace the master brake cylinder, as well as all brake lines and calipers. The front ball joints and shocks also had to be replaced due to dry rot on the rubber. I am leaving it original, like it is it drove great on the few sunny days we had this year!
