The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 67 points, or 0.2%. The S&P 500 was up 0.7%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 1%. Technology stocks were rising all day, but the Dow and a larger chunk of the S&P joined in the rally shortly before the market closed. A majority of S&P 500 stocks closed higher for the second trading day in a row.
