CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will not play in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to his quadriceps injury.
Higgins, a fifth-year wide receiver out of Clemson, had no issues until Friday, when he was limited in practice and listed as questionable to play.
Up to that point, Higgins had been in good form leading into this week. He notched 75 or more receiving yards in the past three games and played a key role in back-to-back wins over the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
Higgins sat out two games at the beginning of the season because of a soft-tissue injury. After having no major issues in training camp, he sustained a hamstring injury just days before the season opener against the New England Patriots. Higgins sat out that game and Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In five games this season, Higgins has 29 receptions for 341 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
