The Boston Celtics are waiving guard Lonnie Walker IV, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
Walker, 25, joined the Celtics on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal over the summer and averaged 7.3 points in 16.4 minutes in four preseason games.
Walker played last for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging nearly 10 points in 23.2 minutes per game. The 2018 No. 18 pick has shot 37.5% from 3 on 4.6 attempts over the past two years.
Waiving Walker leaves the Celtics’ 15th roster spot open heading into the start of the regular season.
