When the C6 Corvette launched in 2005, Chevrolet said, “Power. Passion. Precision. These hallmarks of greatness are the heart and soul of the all-new Corvette. The sleeker, dimensionally leaner Corvette skirts the wind with a low drag coefficient of less than .29. The sixth-generation Corvette affirms more than 50 years as an American performance icon.”

The car was met with praise from enthusiasts – and the sales numbers reflected a 3,000-plus-unit increase in Corvettes sold when compared to the outgoing 2004 model. Nearly 20 years later, it is getting harder to find a low-mileage, unmodified C6. But you are in luck because this 17K-mile 2006 Chevrolet Corvette 3LT convertible is available on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com. The car is being listed by a private seller in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and the auction will end on Thursday.

Showing just 17,984 miles on the odometer, it comes equipped with the 3LT package, Active Handling, a Beige power-retractable top, and a push-button ignition system.

On paper and in practice, the 2006 Corvette was an impressive machine right out of the gate. The brochure called out a few of the basic specifications: 3,132-pound weight, 186-mph top speed, 4.2-second 0-60 mph time, and a 400-horsepower engine. Design-wise, it took a departure from the previous model by incorporating exposed headlights as opposed to pop-ups.

The CARFAX report for today’s low-miler illustrates an accident-free lifespan and Pennsylvania-based ownership since new. Service history there is relatively light, but it does show some service items at Frederick Chevrolet in Lebanon, and the car displays current a Pennsylvania inspection sticker in the windshield. The seller says the car was serviced within the past year.

Power comes from an LS2 6.0-liter V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The 400-horsepower rating marked a 50-horsepower increase from the C5.

The equipment list is strong; the factory-included 3LT package allocated comfort and convenience niceties like heated seats, keyless entry and start, a Bose stereo, OnStar, and a navigation system. Bonus items: The car will come with a refurbished extra wheel and a car cover.
