A man was found shot to death Monday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.
Police were trying to identify the man. Officers responding to a gunshot detecting system alert found him about 4:30 a.m. in the street at the intersection of 74th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A motive for the killing is under investigation. No arrest has been made and no suspect information has been released.
