BRENTWOOD — A magnitude 3.1 earthquake rattled the interior of the East Bay on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 9:29 p.m. about 6.1 miles southwest of Brentwood and at a depth of about 10.5 miles, the USGS reported.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The USGS said the earthquake was felt as far away as Oakland, Livermore and Pittsburg.
