SAN JOSE – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision Monday night in San Jose, police said.
The collision was reported at about 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Tully and Quimby roads, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Police said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional details about the collision, including a description of the suspect vehicle, were not immediately available.
The death marks the city’s 56th roadway fatality of the year, according to data compiled by this news organization.
