BERKELEY — Police were looking for a person who shot at a resident early Sunday morning after they interrupted a theft.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. in the 2100 block of Delaware Street, according to UC Berkeley Police.
When a Berkeley resident tried to stop the theft, authorities said, at least one suspect fired several rounds. The suspect then fled in a dark-colored vehicle.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Authorities did not say if anything was taken or targeted in the theft. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Berkeley police at 510-981-5900.
