SAN JOSE — A driver hit and killed a pedestrian Friday evening in South San Jose, police said.
The fatal collision happened around 5:05 p.m. at the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Camden Avenue, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post.
The victim was a man, police said. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroners’ Office will release his identity once it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.
The driver remained at the scene, police said. Additional details about the collision were not immediately available.
Police said traffic in the area will be impacted for several hours while they conduct an investigation.
