GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign is selling “Rebel Scum” merchandise in an apparent bid to capitalize on the viral moment during the latest GOP presidential primary debate when former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley blasted Ramaswamy as “scum.”
Ramaswamy’s campaign store is offering “Rebel Scum” T-shirts and koozies, that both come in two design options.
The term “Rebel Scum,” as well as one of the designs, which features Ramaswamy’s likeness in what appears to be a flight suit, appear to be a reference to “Star Wars.”
“The Establishment in both parties is corrupt to the core and is alive more than ever. It’s time to fight: now is the moment for freedom-loving American patriots everywhere to stand up and take back the country we love from a corrupt group of politicians who are marching us toward World War III. This is our 1776 Revolution,” a tweet advertising the merchandise declares. “Get your REBEL SCUM t-shirt now.”
Haley called Ramaswamy scum after he brought up her daughter during a portion of the debate pertaining to the social media platform TikTok.
Ramaswamy said Haley’s “own daughter was actually using the app for a long time.”
“Leave my daughter out of your voice,” Haley fired back, before calling Ramaswamy “scum.”
At another point in the debate, Ramaswamy made a remark about “Dick Cheney in three-inch heels,” suggesting that there were two such individuals on the stage.
Haley fired back by saying that her heels were “five-inch heels” and that she wears heels “for ammunition” not as a “fashion statement.” Her campaign is selling a mug that features the candidate’s “ammunition” comment.
The fourth GOP presidential primary debate is scheduled to take place December 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and will be moderated by Megyn Kelly, Eliana Johnson, and Elizabeth Vargas.
