A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Palo Alto early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Around 2:40 a.m., a Harley Davidson motorcycle heading northbound near the San Antonio Road exit slammed into the back of a Chevrolet S-10 truck, ejecting the rider, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle then sideswiped a Jeep Wrangler, causing the driver to make a hard right turn, rolling over the vehicle before it landed back on its wheels.
No one else was seriously injured in the crash.
It wasn’t immediately clear how fast the motorcycle was going, or if the rider was intoxicated, authorities said.
All lanes of the freeway were reopened by 7:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
