ANTIOCH — A fight on the Delta de Anza Trail in Antioch ended in a man’s death Friday morning, police said.
The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m. on the trail near the 4100 block of Null Drive, Antioch police Lt. Rick Martin said in a statement. Officers and Contra Costa County firefighters arrived to find a man in his mid-30s to 40s unresponsive on the ground.
The man received emergency care, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, Martin said. No other details were provided.
