Oil-and-gas companies have been laying down drilling rigs for much of 2023 as prices tumbled. Not anymore.
Producers this week ramped up drilling at the fastest pace since November, according to Baker Hughes, a sign that the sector is optimistic that fuel prices could rise in the months ahead.
