Prominent politicians and advisers met to stop efforts to mount a third-party 2024 Presidential candidate. “What happens in electoral politics,” says Matt Bennett, co-founder of The Third Way, “is even though there are a lot of independents and people out there who would like a third choice, in the end they go back to their parties, and that’s why have these very close presidential races.”
