Home kitchen presentation
Anyone thinking of creating a small business or side hustle selling home-cooked food can join local sustainable food advocate Peter Ruddock for a May 9 presentation on the Santa Clara County Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations (MEHKO) ordinance at the Saratoga Library.
The MEHKO program will authorize community members to prepare, cook and sell food from their private home kitchen.
The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session. The event runs 7-8:30 p.m. at the library, 13650 Saratoga Ave. Register at https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events/642de50f1c16ec3600d279cd.
City Fix It Forms
Saratoga residents can used the city’s online Fix It Form to report non-emergency issues, such as potholes or broken street lights, to the city for repair. Visit www.saratoga.ca.us/fixit to submit a form.
Montalvo theater camp
Montalvo Arts Center is adding a one-week camp session of its previously sold-out Musical Theatre: Broadway Tunes camp for the week of June 20–26.
In this camp for ages 8–14, young performers will participate in theater games, practice fundamental vocal techniques and learn choreography to well-known Broadway tunes. Students will learn to tell a story through singing, dancing and acting, culminating in a showcase at the end of camp for family and friends.
This camp is a condensed version of Montalvo’s two-week camp of the same name, so it’s not recommended for children already enrolled in the other session. Registration is $625 at https://my.montalvoarts.org.
